AUGUSTO ALGUERÓ - BOCACCIO SOUL




Augusto Algueró Dasca (Barcelona, Frebuary 23, 1934 / Torremolinos, Málaga, January 16, 2011) was the best known Spanish composer. During his long career, he composed a lot of songs that became Spanish hits, such as «Penélope» (sung by Joan Manuel Serrat); «Te quiero, te quiero» and «Noelia», by Nino Bravo; «Tómbola», by Marisol, or «La chica ye-ye», by Gelu and Conchita Velasco. He married with another Spanish folk star, Carmen Sevilla. Now, listen "Bocaccio soul", from the soundtrack for the Spanish movie Tuset Street, from 1967.
