Pilar García de la Mata (Mimo as artistic name) was singing in Medrid from 1959. She launched in 1960 her first EP under Philips Records. From then on, she appeared in TV shows singing Italian and American hits, and being accompanied by professional musicians that played for the occasion. In 1961 she knows to The Jumps, the band that will be with her. The Jumps originally were the brothers Jorge (drums), Jaime (guitar), and
Miguel Celada (guitar).
