LOS SOÑADORES - LO SE POR MÍ reloaded

February 2: Festivity of "La Candelaria". In February, the olives are all collected in Villa del Río. The collection season is finished from early December, and the olive trees have to be cleaned of superflual branches in order to a better collection the next year. The cutting is done by expertised people and put togheter in the middle of the trees forming little mountains of branches, twigs, and leaves. This is called "ramón" (Rama = branch, ramón = mountain of braches, or big branch).
Sometimes, "el ramón" is burnt off in the middle of the trees, as you can see in the picture. Nevertheless, there is a lot of it, and the people go to pick up the ramón during January, and reserve it in their garages, waiting February 2. This day, in the night, all the ramón is burnt in the village, and people jumps over the fire, singing and dancing. The next morning, the coaps of fire remains in the streets, and old people take this for light their "braseros".
